There were no optional engines in 1982 and no manual transmissions for the year. Chevrolet introduced "cross fire injection" on the 1982 corvette. The frame is solid original, no rust. The body was never removed because of its low mileage. The chassis is still mostly original! A true must see to appreciate 1970 corvette. 1970 was an unusual year for the corvette because of the low production number, only 17,316 Corvettes were built unlike 1969 where there was 38,762 built. Most of this was due to a strike so no Corvettes were built until January 1970. This was basically the last year of the high performance Vettes. |
