This is one of the nicest and lowest mileage ones you will find available on the market today. Original and unmodified with only 8,951 actual miles. This was an original California car up until July of 2019. Always garaged and looks like showroom new in every way. Never driven in the rain or bad weather as easily seen once you take a look at the way the engine compartment, chassis, and brake components look. All of the aluminum components do not have that common deterioration as seen on so many as this can be attributed to being an original California car. This Corvette has been driven and started to keep it exercised so to speak where everything is still in working order. The a/c is cold and the car drives like a new one. New tires were installed when the first time a new ownership took hands in 2019. A nice set of Falken performance tires are on the car now mounted on the original wheels. They are balanced out nice and have approx. 2,000 miles on them since they were installed. The paint, trim, window glass, interior components, are all in “like new” condition with no signs of wear. Even the original floor mats were removed and saved and a nice set of aftermarket ones that have the C5 logo have been in the car ever since and even those have a clear plastic mat on top of them. If you ever wanted a chance to buy a new C5 Corvette then it doesn’t get any better than this. The convertible top is near perfect original shape and has always been stored in the upright position so you will not see any hard wrinkles in the material. It is the original soft top to the car and all of the weatherstrip seals are perfect. The car does have a new A/C Delco battery recently installed.

This Corvette has every available option for this model year and it is a very rare one with the Torch Red interior as this was not available since 1996. The Torch Red exterior color matches perfectly with the Torch Red Interior. I do not know just how rare it is but from what findings I have come across there probably isn’t even 100 of these built with these options in the year 2000. The optional Magnesium wheels are very unique and seldom seen and are in very nice shape on the car. The original wheel locks are included.

The C5 Corvette generation has always been one of the more popular ones due to the amount of interior and leg room, the longer wheelbase of the car, the convertible soft top is much more easy to operate, and the rear trunk access which hasn’t been available since 1962 and was reintroduced in 1998 when the convertible model was available on a C5. The performance is excellent on this model and with the manual transmission makes it even more fun to drive and the fuel economy will top at over 30 mpg on the highway! At 70 MPH in 6th gear the car is turning around 1,500 to only 1,600 rpms.
