Extremely rare and unusual color combination in black with red interior. Just finished an 8 month full restoration on a virgin original unhit body and frame. 100% matching numbers engine and complete drive train. Original VIN and Trim tags and engine.

Purchased in August of 08 from a Pennsylvania owner of 34 years with 54,000 actual miles and driven less than 1,500 miles since the early 80's.

We began our restoration using the latest NCRS judging books. The car was NCRS TOP FLIGHTED September 19, 2009 receiving 99.5 score first time out! The car was painted in correct lacquer with overspray in all the correct areas and the door jams, hood lip and headlight areas not buffed out and done too nice. The body had most of its original paint, thus was taken down to bare fiberglass showing all of its original white glass and bonding strips. This body was unhit. Guaranteed!

You will not find another one like this one. We have a complete portfolio of the complete restoration process from start to finish outlining all of the correct parts and numbers, even photos of the trim tag rivots only visible with the heater box removed and even the serial number on the frame clearly visible. The frame on this car was unhit, non rusty and not even pitted. You will have to see for yourself to believe. All correct dated glass, seatbelts, 5 original welded wheels, horns, voltage regulator, headlight motors, master cylinder, and carb. are all dated right with the photos to verify this. Even the correct battery has the tar on top of it as judges like to see.

This is not only a rare color combination but also an interesting story behind this car. This 1963 Split Window is also known as the Devil's Car. The reason behind this: The VIN on the car is 30837S102666 VIN ends in 666, this car was built on October 30th, 1962. Halloween Eve and the very last car built that evening! The car is a real black with red interior and the 340 H.P. motor was known as the screamer! How unusual is that!

    Features on this car include:
  1. L76 327 cubic inch 340 H.P. engine
  2. 4-speed manual transmission Borg Warner T-10
  3. Positraction rear axle 3.70 Ratio
  4. Wonder bar am radio
  5. Firestone correct 6-70X15 whitewall tires

This being an early 1963 there was so many things that were different that a lot o people are unaware of, for instance, there was no reinforcement metal brace under the glove box door, the clock was different. There was no vinyl material between the dash pads, radio and clock. Headlight buckets were fiberglass, outside mirror, gas door lid, tool box compartment under the seats. Some of these things people know but there are many more things that were different that we would be happy to share with you along with a detail of numbers and plenty more photos if you are serious about this car. This car was done right and by the book. As most people say they are NCRS restored but have not been judged. This car was restored by Corvettes Unlimited and painted by Redline Finishes, both having years of corvette experience of over 25 years. Scheduled to be judged in Chicago on November 21, 2009 going for the Gold Spinner Award! Score sheets, blue ribbon and certificate all go with car including, owners manual, original early warranty book, window sticker, shop manual, assembly manual and all photos.

Gold Spinner Certified at the Chevy Vette Fest Fall Show held in Houston, Texas on November 29th, 2009. Scoring 990 Points Out Of 1,000.
